Nikolai Andreevich Kelin (1896-1970) was Don Cossack, poet and prose writer of the Russian Diaspora, doctor. Member of the First World War and the Civil War. The first volume presents his memories, spanning the period from the author's childhood to 1945. The second volume includes chapters describing the events that took place after the arrival of Soviet troops in Czechoslovakia and the author's visit to the Soviet Union in 1957, as well as his poetic legacy.
