The communicative space is considered in the system of key concepts and categories of linguistic pragmatics, such as the addresser, addressee, speech behavior, communicative intention, communicative strategy. The spheres of the communicative space that are significant for the process of speech interaction of the sender and the addressee are highlighted. Communicative and pragmatic types of speech behavior as a tool for the formation of communicative space are defined.
