The album introduces the reader to four outstanding commanders of the Great Patriotic War who commanded the fronts that liberated Belarus during Operation Bagration (June 23 - August 29, 1944): I. Kh. Bagramyan (1st Baltic Front), I. D. Chernyakhovsky (3rd Belorussian Front), G. F. Zakharov (2nd Belorussian Front) and K. K. Rokossovsky (1st Belorussian Front). The life and military exploits of these military leaders, their contribution to the Great Victory are described in biographical sketches specially prepared for this publication by a team of historians. The central place in the album is occupied by personal photographs of commanders, front-line photographs, documents of the era, photographs of personal belongings, monuments and other illustrative materials. Their search and selection was carried out in the archives and museums of Armenia, Belarus, Poland and Russia, as well as in the personal archives of the descendants of the commanders. A number of materials are published for the first time. The publication of the album is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
