The catalog of fungal strains maintained at the Forest Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus includes 466 strains of 89 species (Basidiomycota and Ascomycota) from 54 genera, 35 families, listed in alphabetical order. More than half of the strains (54.3%) were isolated from the fruiting bodies of wild mushrooms collected in the natural conditions of Belarus, the rest were obtained from other microbiological and mycological collections near and far abroad. The species identity of the strains was confirmed using molecular genetic research methods.
Intended for mycologists, microbiologists, biotechnologists, pharmacists, biochemists, teachers and students of biological faculties, mushroom growers and specialists interested in experimental work with macromycetes. This catalog can serve as a reference guide when searching for the necessary macromycete cultures.
