Ivan Gavrilovich Chigrinov (December 21, 1934 – January 5, 1996) – People's Writer of Belarus, publicist, playwright, screenwriter.
Laureate of the State Prize of the BSSR (1974). Member of the Writers' Union of the USSR (1964).
Author of novels and plays, including the trilogy "The Quail's Cry", "Justification of Blood" and "Ours and Others".
Chigrinov was also involved in criticism, journalism and literary criticism. He wrote a number of books and articles on these topics.
