This research work is aimed at determining the cognitive and linguistic aspects of the transference of English proverbs into the Kazakh language. The proverbs and saying and phraseological unitss of the Kazakh and English languages are studied in comparison with their the equivalents in both languages. The research examines the ways of transference of English proverbs into the Kazakh language in the English-Kazakh proverb dictionaries based on a theoretical, linguistic, cultural and cognitive aspects.
