In the feudal society special attention was devoted to dress. As in other countries, dress in Lithuania reflected the social position of its owner, and was even regulated by laws, however, not very strictly. This perfectly illustrated book describes the history of Lithuanian clothing, men's and women's, military and civilian, in the XVIth-XVIIIth centuries depicting its traditions and new developments.
