Belarusian musician, composer, folklorist, writer, teacher. Leader of the Trinity Ethno-Trio group. Senior Lecturer of the Department of Culturology and Psychological and Pedagogical Disciplines of the Institute for Advanced Studies and Retraining of Personnel of the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts. During numerous folklore and ethnographic expeditions around Belarus, he collected a unique ethnographic museum, which includes items of Belarusian folk life, a collection of clothes, a collection of theatrical masks and puppets, an audio and video archive of folk performers and folklore groups. He has a collection of folk musical instruments from Belarus, Russia, the countries of the Middle East, regions of Africa, countries of South America, the exhibition of which was held in August-September 2011 at the Zaslavl Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve.
In 2001, Ivan Kirchuk was invited to the largest World network salon in the field of music of the peoples of the world - "Womex" where among 1,200 delegates from 70 countries one represented Belarus. At the stand of African music "Mozaijque vivant" Ivan Kirchuk presented his solo CD "Legacy of Lost Villages" and "Trinity". As part of the network salon, Ivan gave a number of solo concerts. In Amsterdam (Rajgoord) Ivan Kirchuk presented the program "Cross" ("Kryzh").
Thanks to participation in "Womex" Ivan Kirchuk and "Troitsa" were invited to Malaysia (Borneo) to the largest festival "Rain Forest World Music" in July 2002.
Currently, I. Kirchuk is an assistant professor of ethnology and folklore at the State Pedagogical University. M. Tanka. He experiments a lot with students with Belarusian folklore, continues to replenish his ethnographic museum, which is currently located in Holland, collects musical instruments, writes books, not only on the rites and holidays of Belarus, conducts seminars in Russia on Slavic rituals and holidays.
