The story of the Golden Star of the Hero of the Czechoslovakia, the highest state award of communist Czechoslovakia, which was introduced in 1955. The following chapters are devoted to the background of the creation and awarding of the honorary title of Hero of the Czechoslovakia and brief information about individual recipients. The greatest emphasis is placed on the personality of Vladimir Clementis, who was awarded the Golden Star of the Hero of the Czechoslovakia in memoriam and is currently in the collections of the SNM - Historical Museum. Attention is also focused on other awards from Clementis' estate, which came to the museum from the abolished Institute of History of the Communist Party of Slovakia. The text is compiled on the basis of archival and material research.
