V.N. Zamulin was one of the first who began to analyze and summarize earlier secret materials about events of the WW II, especially battles near Kursk in 1943. His publications and monographs which discover events of the beginning of the operation “Citadel” arose interest and attracted attention of many researchers and historians. Based on declassified documents from Central Archive of Russian Department of Defense and Trophy Department of the USA National Archive, he tries to look into real circumstances of battles near Prokhorovka and in Oboiansk direction and analyzes preparation, course and results of the Soviet army counterblow on July 12, 1943.
