The monograph draws on the basic facts about the history of the Virgin Mary in Spissky Stiavnik, which was the first monastery of the Cistercians in the territory of present-day Slovakia. In the work are described the circumstances of the monastery in the first third of the 13th century, with attention being paid to the personalities of the possible founder of the monastery. Based on the papers and published scientific papers, the author captures the key moments of the monastery's existence until the first third of the 16th century, when the Spisskosavinsky klaster disappeared.
