The Second Republic lasted very briefly, from the autumn of 1938 to the spring of 1939. Nevertheless, from a historical point of view, the disintegration of the state, which was held by enemies from all sides, can be very well observed in these few days. This disintegration was caused not only by external enemies and European powers, but also by the people of Czechoslovakia, for whom the Czechoslovak idea was an empty concept. Unfortunately, the fate of the inhabitants of the Second Republic shows how easily society turns its back on the weakest, whether they were refugees from the borderlands, political emigrants or Jews.
