The children's inner world at the threshold of the XIXth-XXth centuries is depicted in this superb album. Numerous pictures show the original toys of the early XXth century, children's rooms interiors, clothes, games, etc. Short historical sketches help the reader to reconstruct the children's part of the adult world of that epoch. The book is based on the works presented at the art exhibition organized by the Russian State Historical Museum in cooperation with Moscow and Saint Petersburg museums at the beginning of 2001.
