Anatolii F. Govorov (22.07.1940-) is a member of the Union of Writers of Russia, member of the Union of Journalists of Russia, Laureate of the All-Russian competition of local lore literature, Laureate of the Ryazan Region Prize named after I.I. Sreznevski, Y.P. Polanski Prize winner. The book tells of the descendants of the Meshchera forests the family of the Stepashkins. Forest wardens were the witnesses and participants of the Soviet period events: revolution, collectivization, war, restructuring, the collapse of the Soviet Union.
