The collection continues to publish about "Cheremis" and "Cheremissi"': about the Mari people and the peoples living nearby, the Mari Territory, the Middle Volga region, and the Urals. The second volume includes the writings of the inhabitants of Russia, which appeared in the XIII-XVIII centuries. The authors are mostly Russians, but there are also Tatars. Among the Russians who wrote about Cheremis and the Mari Region were merchants, officials, and the first Russian researchers, historians, writers, clergymen. In their writings, they managed to reflect the history, spiritual beliefs, cultural practices of the Mari people, customs and rituals, their economic activities, the specifics of government policy and administration in the Mari region.
