The publication was prepared for the region's anniversary, which was celebrated last year. The authors and compilers of the book were Deputy Director of the Regional Archive Nikolai Antipin and historian, Chairman of the Public Foundation "Southern Urals" Gayaz Samigulov. The 220-page album shows that the history of the region did not begin on January 17, 1934 - it is much broader than this short period of 90 years. The appearance of the Chelyabinsk Region on the map was preceded by turbulent ethnic processes, long-term development and study of the subsoil, the formation and development of industry, agriculture, science and culture. Introducing the 300-year history of the region, this book fits its incredible natural beauty into a historical context and shows the development of the Chelyabinsk Region in the 20th century in the language of photography.
