Iurii Mykolaiovych Kosach (1908–1990) was a Ukrainian poet, prose writer, playwright, publicist, editor, and artist. He was the nephew of Lesia Ukrainka and the grandson of Olena Pchilka. The publication includes an essay of the writer's life and work ("Iurii Kosach's "Charming Ukraine" in the European dimension"), as well as his pre-war prose - the collections "Black Lady", "Charming Ukraine", "Smoke", "Ariadna's ball", "Thirteenth Squad", and the story "The Lady of Glukhiv", which recreate the history of "charming Ukraine" of the 12th – the 20th centuries in the dramatic course of the lives of its individual characters.
