Almost all of the activities related to social solidarity and cooperation in the Ottoman society were carried out by the foundation institution. Tens of thousands of foundations, large and small, which are at the center of these activities, have fulfilled the needs of people in religion, education, health, economy, public works, transportation and all other areas related to society for centuries. From the top to the bottom of the social pyramid, individuals belonging to almost every stratum have become a voluntary part of this gigantic civil organization in proportion to their wealth. It can be said that; From past to present, the most concrete and striking practice of transforming personal wealth into social benefit has come into being with the foundation system. On the 20th of May 1643, a new foundation was added to tens of thousands of foundations serving in the Ottoman society with the charter, which was approved and entered into force in the court chaired by the Rumelian kadiasker.
