Arben Kardash (Kardashov Arben Mekhedinovich) is an outstanding Lezgin and Russian poet, prose writer, playwright, translator, writing in his native and Russian languages. Honored Artist of the Republic of Dagestan (2004), People's Poet of Dagestan (2016), member of the Union of Writers of the USSR (since 1991), the Union of Writers of Russia and the Union of Journalists of Russia (since 1992).
