On the basis of the Imperial decree on the organization of the Illyrian Provinces in 1811, a Chamber of Commerce in Rijeka (Camera di Commercio di Fiume) was established, which will, with some minor interruptions in work and changes in name, organization and jurisdiction, represent the interests of the Rijeka business circles and perform important tasks for the successful running of the economic functions of the city.
