This is the first publication of an unknown manuscript by Fedor Krukov dedicated to Bulavin’s revolt of 1707-1708. Comparison of Krukov’s works to the novel by M.Sholokhov “Quiet Flows the Don” reveals a strong probability that the latter used his literary archives as the basis for writing the famous novel.
