The dominant religion of Kalmykia - the Buddhism - is studied in the offered research work by a well-known Russian scientist G.S.Dordzhieva. The historical period covered by the author begins from the origin of the religion up to the present day. The ups and downs of Buddhism in Kalmykia are accurately analyzed in the book.
