This edition contains a chronology of the formation of territories, a collection of ancient cartographic materials and modern maps and plans. With the help of the information placed in the atlas, one can trace the history of the formation of the Brest region. A huge number of maps placed in the atlas allows you to see how this territory was displayed in the past, which state formations it was part of. Fragments of old maps depicting Brest and its environs are presented. The atlas contains fragments of one of the test maps of the first half of the 19th century, created in 1840 under the leadership of General F. Schubert. Beresteyshina is displayed on a colored fragment of this work.
Particular attention is paid to the "three-layout" (1: 126,000), which on an enlarged scale represents the territory of the Brest region in the second half of the 19th century. With the help of maps, you can trace how the territory changed in 1921-1939, when these lands were part of Poland and their further changes in the composition of the BSSR and the USSR.
A separate section is devoted to Brest and its surroundings on modern maps and plans. Information about objects of historical and cultural heritage is posted, a description of interesting places is given, a small excursion into the history of Brest is carried out, information is provided on the names and renaming of streets and squares in Brest.
