The study is dedicated to the role and significance of bread and salt in the life, customs, and traditions of the Armenian people. The book mentions the different types of bread depending on the places of residence and methods of preparation, and especially the supernatural properties attributed to salt, bread and related objects and various magical functions derived from them, as well as national forms of hospitality. The study was based on ethnographic, folklore, archaeological, and religious sources.
