Kuznetsova Elvira Fedorovna (1933 - 2013) was a cultural worker, Russian-speaking writer. The book is a story about the architect who created the famous fence of the Summer Garden in St. Petersburg Pyotr Yegorovich Yegorov (1731-1789), about his amazing and difficult fate. For a long time P.E. Egorov was almost unknown even to researchers of the history of architecture, and only relatively recently, art historians managed to restore justice and find out the name of the real author of the project. The story was first written in 1971.
