The present collection includes all the letters of the Russian chemist and composer Alexander Porfiryevich Borodin (1833–1887) discovered to date. The second volume contains 132 letters, five of which are missing from the edition of Sergei Alexandrovich Dianin. Draft fragments of letters are also given, including five in foreign languages. A little-known graphic portrait of Borodin is reproduced. In cases where the autographs of the letters have been preserved, the text has been verified according to the original sources.
