Boris Alexandrovich Smirnov (1903-1986) is one of the leading national artists of glass and ceramics, his name is well known to all those involved in the study of the Soviet design. However, the creative work of Smirnov during the pre-war period, his achievements in architecture, book, magazine and easel graphics, economic and artistic design is not well known.
