For the first time, a Ukrainian translation of the Black Book is being offered, a collection of testimonies and documents about the Holocaust collected by the Jewish Anti-Fascist Committee during World War II. The original text of the book was typed in 1947, but the development of an anti-Semitic campaign in the USSR prevented its publication. In 1980, the collection was first published in Jerusalem on the basis of preparatory materials found in the personal archives of Elijah Ehrenburg by his daughter Irina.
