The book-album narrates about new archeological discoveries on the territory of the ancient settlement of Bilyar located in the Alekseyevskoye district of Tatarstan. These are mainly remains of one of the largest medieval towns that was well-known beyond the borders Volga Bulgaria. Founded in the 10th century, the town existed up to 1236 when it was completely destroyed during the Mongolian conquest. The book is well illustrated throughout.
