The book investigates the history of the Lithuanian and Belarusian Poles who confronted the problem of choice during the last decades of the Russian Empire existence. There were people who chose Russia and those who chose Poland but there were also people who wanted an alternative: creation of the Belarusian-Lithuanian state.
