The creation of the SKIF K-500 supercomputer at the Joint Institute for Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus is a qualitatively new result within the framework of the joint Belarusian-Russian program, which made it possible to start work on the creation of the National Supercomputer Center for Shared Use for the Design and Analysis of New Technology Objects.
Supercomputer unit "SKIF K-500", developed and manufactured within the framework of the Union State program "Development and development in serial production of a family of high-performance computing systems with parallel architecture (supercomputers) and the creation of applied hardware and software systems based on them" (code "SKIF" ), is included in the top500 list of the 500 most productive computer systems in the world. The peak - theoretically achievable - performance of the Belarusian-Russian cluster "SKIF K-500" is 716.8 billion operations per second, and its real productivity is 423.6 billion operations per second.
