The publication is dedicated to the original, interesting, once quite widespread, then practically forgotten, and today revived at a new level type of folk art - artistic paper carving. Having appeared in our time, actually from non-existence, vytinanka (cut-out) in a short period of time declared the syde as a distinctive artistic phenomenon; it is a component or subject of various exhibitions, festivals, holidays, competitions, it is practiced in kindergartens, schools, studios, homes and craft centers, even in higher educational institutions. In 2021, the Belarusian vytinanka is included in the State List of Historical and Cultural Values of the Republic of Belarus.
