The catalog presents variations of authentic Belarusian costumes, which make up a unique collection collected in America by the leader of the Belarusian folk group VOLYA, singer and director Volya Demka. The band was formed in 2009 in Seattle (USA) to acquaint the inhabitants of the Pacific coast with the beauty and richness of Belarusian folklore.
There are six historical and ethnographic regions in Belarus, and each of them has its own unique characteristics and design of traditional clothing. The collection of the band VOLYA includes 13 out of about 30 variations of Belarusian costumes. Now everyone can appreciate the imagination and skill of weavers, unique embroidery, forged parts of 79 items of clothing and accessories made between the 1880s and 1940s.
