The professor and Doctor of Technical Science E.E. Shiriaev for the first time in the history of cartography collected and commented all or practically all known maps of the Region of Poland - Belarus - Lithuania. Apart from well-grounded argumentation of observations, conclusions and proposals the merits of the work are based on the impartial approach of the cartographers who worked on the maps differing them from the specialists who withhold cartographic material in the course of nationalistic territorial claims.
