The story of Babi Yar is one of the most striking human tragedies caused by the Nazi occupation regime. The policy of memory / oblivion of Babi Yar from Stalin times to the present is explored. The book was the result of collaboration between scientists from different fields of knowledge and from different countries of the world of Ukraine, Canada, the Netherlands, the USA, Israel, France, which combined the awareness of the importance of preserving the memory of Babi Yar as a symbol of the Holocaust and other tragedies of the XX century.
