The Azov savannah is the hot south of Ukraine, full of bright sun, sweet apricots and mulberries, fragrant dried flowers and trips to the Sea of Azov. A place where the magical world of nature barely coexists with the absurd realism of the post-Soviet environment. The teenager Kyrylo, or simply Kira, lives in Zaporizhzhia in the early 2000s. One day Kira goes in search of her father, whom he has not seen since childhood. On the way he is met by mystical lions, able to protect or destroy on the spot, a shooting in the middle of night Khortytsia and a chase with an unexpected ending.
