The book includes biographies and autobiographies of all front-line soldiers - natives of the village of Azapolye, Mezen district of the Arkhangelsk region, called up by both the Mezen and other military registration and enlistment offices, as well as some home front workers and children of war who worked and lived in Azapolye during the Great Patriotic War of 1941 – 1945.
In addition to biographies and autobiographies (mostly with photographs), lists of these three groups are presented along with a list of migrants sent to live in Azapolye from enemy-occupied territories of the USSR.
