The prosaic work Autumn is set in the 1990s. Everyday life, work on a theater play, a new script, jump cuts to the past, close people (wife, daughter, granddaughter, but also dead parents), the world (suburban village, something from Bratislava), all intertwined with reflections, especially on biblical themes. But there are also politics and opinions on topical issues. Sloboda's judgements become more explicit with time, there is less relativism, some parodic elements remain in the background, but self-observation is constantly present, accurate and non-illusionary.
