The end of World War II brought, on the one hand, the coveted peace, an end to the most terrible bloodshed in human history and the defeat of the inhuman Nazi regime, but on the other, Stalin's Red Army occupied Central Europe as a result of war events. Although the restored Czechoslovakia also wanted to be a kind of bridge between East and West, it quickly leaned towards the East, which was definitely sealed by the communist coup: in the autumn of 1947 in Slovakia and in February 1948 at the national level.
