The series "Velsky Archive" opens with the second, supplemented and corrected, edition of the diary of the Pezhemsky peasant of the Velsky district of the Arkhangelsk region, Ivan Glotov. Unlike the first edition, it included all three parts of the diary, stored in the funds of the Velsky Museum of Local Lore. The diary is a rare source on the history of the northern peasantry of the first third of the XXth century, which recorded the everyday life of the Russian pre-revolutionary and Soviet villages, the history of collectivization and the collapse of the traditional way of life. The publication is supplied with photographs, geographical and toponymic indexes, a dictionary of local vocabulary, and maps.
