This album represents a large-scale scientific project covering the whole history of Russian poster from mid-XIXth century till the present day. The book contains more than 450 colored illustrations. By the example of concrete works the authors show the process of transformation of ideological concepts into visual images with metaphors and allegories typical to them. A DVD is enclosed to the album and contains more than 1100 pictures of posters. The DVD gives opportunity to visit a virtual museum and get acquainted with the history of any single poster and its author.
