The superb architecture guide is compiled by Janis Krastins (1943), a professor at Riga Polytechnics, Dr. hab. arch., Full member of Latvian Academy of Sciences (1994). He has specialized in reconstruction and interior designs for apartment houses and public buildings, written seven books and more than 350 publications and got International award of Camillo Sitte Fund, J.F.Baumanis award in architecture, and Fulbright Award. The pictures of Vilnis Zilberts, a famous Latvian photographer, add polish and uniqueness to the album. The edition is complete with biographies of architects and index of buildings.
