The collection “Art and Revolution: One Hundred Years Later” presents the materials of the conference held in Belgrade in September 2017. The centenary of the October Revolution was the occasion for a scientific discussion about the situation of Russian philosophy, literature and art in an era of change, as well as the impact of innovative ideas of the early 20th century on contemporary Russian writers and artists. The authors of the articles tried to answer a number of questions regarding not only the historical and political component of the October Revolution in the context of the French Revolution or the Russian Revolutions of 1905 and February 1917, but also its ontological side, a riot that predetermined the emergence of both the literature of the absurd and the postmodern culture as a whole.
