Johann Heinrich Faustus Felicius (1787–1850), retired minister of Harju-Jaani St John’s church, spent years researching and drawing the coats of arms of noble families, leaving behind a great number of black-and-white and coloured drawings of coats of arms as his legacy. He included all coats of arms housed in the Knighthood House in Reval belonging to noble families matriculated in Estonia, and divided them into three large groups: the coats of arms of German, Swedish and Russian families, adding supplements to them as an appendix. The texts are supplemented with translations into Estonian, Russian and English, a list of names and an epilogue. Limited edition of 625 copies.
