Armenia is the most ancient place of wine-growing, wine-making and fruit-growing and many historical and archaeological data, different cuneiforms and other monuments of material culture are the evidence of this. During excavations of Karmir Blur fortress (not far from Yerevan city) there were founded wine cellars, framings, jugs, coalified grapes seeds, pomegranate flowers, peach and cherry plum stones and others which indicate deep antiquity of cultural wine-growing, wine-making and fruit-growing in Armenia.
