The album presents fountains throughout the territory of Armenia Maior according to its division into 15 provinces (fountains in the Republic of Armenia are presented according to the current administrative division of the country into regions). A special section dwells on fountains in Diasporan Armenian settlements and in Cilicia, a coastal region in the south-east of Asia Minor, outside Armenia Maior (in present-day Turkey), where an Armenian kingdom existed in the Middle Ages (from 1198 until 1375). Fountains are architectural monuments created for public benefit, in ever living memory of their builders, and indeed, it is a great honour to perpetuate them in a book.
