The settlement of the Bronze Age Arkaim (XXI-XVII centuries BC) today is one of the most famous archaeological sites in Russia and a kind of "brand" of the Chelyabinsk region. This book presents, on the one hand, a documentary chronicle of the history of the creation and development of the reserve "Arkaim" from 1987 to the present, created on the basis of both publicly available and previously unknown documents available to the author. On the other hand, this is a book of personal memories of both the author himself and many people, at different stages, one way or another who were involved in Arkaim, an analysis from the author's point of view of the different perception of the ancient monument by society, state and scientific organizations, representatives of traditional religions and neo-religious movements.
