The collection of works by the founder of Ukrainian futurism, Mykhailo Semenko (1892–1937), contains the poet's early poems. They are combined into the cycles "Dare", "Autumn Wound", "Pierrot Loves" and "Village Saturnalia". The author disguises himself in the image of the lyrical hero Pierrot, who is close to Semenko's own spiritual feelings. The writer constantly destroyed traditions, experimented with words, sound, and form. His texts, outrageous and eccentric, could shock, his ideas could cause scandals, but they left no one indifferent.
