The book publishes sources on the history of the Belarusian national movement, which are of great value for Belarusian science - minutes of meetings of the People's Secretariat of the Belarusian People's Republic (operated in Minsk from February to November 1918). These documents are stored in the State Archives of the Russian Federation and thanks to this publication are introduced into scientific use for the first time.
The book continues the series "Archives of the Belarusian People's Republic" started by Sergei Shupa in 1998. The first volume of the series was based on documents from the Lithuanian Central State Archives. The second volume will feature documents on the history of the Belarusian People's Republic from the State Archives of the Russian Federation.
The published documents reflect the political and cultural activities of the government of the Belarusian People's Republic, as well as many other aspects of the history of the Belarusian national movement in 1918.
