Semen Shirochin Ukrainian local historian, scientist, photographer, researcher of the Kiev development of the Soviet period. Since 2016, he actively continues research on the history and architecture of Kiev of the Soviet era, actively speaks at public events, publishes articles and books. The author of several dozen publications and the author of numerous public lectures. The book presents the history of the mass construction of schools and preschools in interwar Kiev. The book lists all school buildings, including those destroyed in 1941-2018, as well as most of the preschool institutions. For each school, it was possible to find out the year of construction, the numbers of standard projects and the authors of most structures.
